Newbury were away to Slough Town Rebels this Sunday.. The game was fairly even but Newbury were not really creating many chances. After 45 minutes the score was 0-0 but in the moments before half time Slough scored with a good shot giving Carly Passfield in goal for her first game this season no chance. Half time was 1-0 to Slough
Neither team were really dominating but Slough were keeping the Newbury defence busy and Passfield was having an excellent game. Nicole Beesley and Kendal Gilmour did get in the odd shot but the opportunities were few and far between. The referee seemed to be very happy to award free kicks when there was the slightest contact and awarded a disputed penalty which was well taken to give Slough a 2-0 win.
