Newbury started brightly and created some good chances early on with Bex Walker who is Dev captain this season going close twice.
However Wallingford went ahead when Newbury defence misread a pass and Wallingford player pounced to score. They added a second soon after when Wallingford forward burst through the Newbury ranks to score.
Newbury started the second half again brightly and again Bex Walker was unlucky not to score with the goalkeeper standing firm and a chance coming off the bar. But Wallingford came forward again and after the drink's break netted from a corner.
Newbury continued to try and get back in the game with Walsh-Perks working hard to spark Newbury but Wallingford grabbed two more before the end.
Newbury's two goalies, Erin Davis-Donne and Kat Brown, who both played, made some great saves. But player of the match goes to Lauren Sheldon who worked hard in midfield to create and defend when needed .
