Match Report -- Season 2019-20
Thames Valley Counties Women's Football League Cup
Preliminary Round
Sunday 29 September 2019
Newbury Ladies Development 4
Stonesfield & Chaddington Ladies 3
Newbury Ladies FC Development Team secured a brilliant home win to send them into the First Round Proper of the League Cup. In a stirring second half come back, they swept passed Stonesfield & Chaddington Ladies, recording a terrific 4-3 victory.

They had fallen a goal behind after just ten minutes, but then found an equaliser from Amy McNab, who stabbed home from close range, after good work on the left from Nicole Beesley. The parity did not last long however, with the visitors able to add two further goals before half time to take a 1-3 lead into the break.

But just inside the hour mark, Newbury Development pulled a goal back, with Issy Cording poking home after a goal mouth scramble. It was now game on, but it took until the 81st minute for Newbury to pull level. This time through the prolific, Rebecca Chitolie, after she latched onto a good through ball from Ellie Dyerson. It was now 3-3 and heading for a penalty shoot out.

But Newbury, and Chitolie in particular, had other ideas. She was first to pounce on a loose goal kick and fired in from 20 yards to give her side a 4-3 lead with barely eight minutes remaining.

Newbury Development then saw the game out extremely well and secured their safe passage into the next Round.
