| Newbury started the game at a cracking pace and went ahead on 10 minutes through Stacey Richardson with a pile driver of a shot following a short corner from Karen Churchill. Newbury increased their lead on 23 minutes when Zoe Davie was put clear by Karen Churchill and she coolly slotted home past the Swindon keeper.
Then straight from the kick off Karen Churchill scored from a Zoe Davie pass and drove past the keeper from the edge of the box. Soon after this Karen Churchill scored again a fine run through the middle of the Swindon midfield defence.
The second half started much the same with both sides going forward at every attempt and soon after the break Zoe Davie scored her second after Kate Pike, playing her first game of the season, put through a superb ball for Zoe to run onto.
Swindon then scored 3 goals in ten minutes to make a game of it, but were finally killed of by a Lucy Ward goal from a Karen Churchill pass across the goal.
Karen Churchill was named player of the match, but special mention to Carly Passfield in goal who played expectionally well.
