The second half continued where the first left off with Newbury dominating most of the play and again they had numerous chances to stretch the lead but some good goal keeping prevented that. A goal was coming but it took till twenty minutes into the second half and after a goal mouth scramble Lucy Mortimer fired home from close range in a crowded box. Honor came out of goal and not for the first time this season she was amongst the goals almost immediately with a fierce shot from just inside the box after being played in by Ruby Oliver. Rhiannon Gainall tended goal and she made a few good stops with Newbury getting complacent. Lucy also added a second but this time with a fine solo effort finishing off a good run down the right with a strong accurate shot from a narrow angle. Sophie Harvey made it eight when she hit a sweet volley from outside the box which looped over the keepers head then hit the underside of the bar and dropped into the goal. The home team grabbed a consolation goal at the death with the visitors pushing forward and the striker for the second time made no mistake in front of goal.
