In the second half Newbury came out much more positively and created lots of chances, but the small goals made it difficult for both teams. However Newbury were adopting a shoot from anywhere policy including Georgie Bingham who, at left back, was having an outstading game. Georgie struck a high long shot which if it had dropped a yard earlier could easily have gone in over the keeper's head. Tiffany Chapman was also having a lively game and shooting on sight. This all led to a very entertaining second half which belied the 0-0 scoreline.
