| A difficult game for Newbury played against a Basingstoke team with some excellent players. The lack of a permanent goalkeeper really showed in this game. Jennie-Rae, Lucy and Jen all took turns in goal and an injury to Jen in the first half didn't help the defence. Despite their commendable effort Newbury were unable to get the required shape to deal with the attacking play of Basingstoke. |
