| The first half of the game was well contested and enjoyable. Calleva got of to a good start scoring 2 goals in the first 6 minutes. This could have proved disastrous for Newbury but they rallied well and were rewarded with 2 well taken goals by Rachel Mulvaney just before half time. Indeed Newbury were unlucky not to be in the lead after an excellent save by the Calleva goalkeeper and other shots that hit the post or went wide.
In the second half Calleva got on top of the game and the lack of substitutes really counted as Newbury tired. Fi had to leave the pitch for a while have been hit directly in the face by a hard struck shot from close range. In the end Calleva were comfortable winners
