Newbury comprehensively outplayed Sandhurst in the game to take up their place in the Cup final. Kendal was playing her first game for Newbury and scored 2 goals, one with her head from a cross by Caz. Chelsea was in goal first half and Newbury started the game with Caz and Kendal in midfield. The passing was quick often just one touch and this resulted in an opening goal by Kelly. With 2 goals from Kendal and an own goal Newbury had a comfortable 4-0 lead at half time.

In the second half Jo went in goal but Newbury seemed to loose interest and shape which left the game drifting. Chelsea livened it up with a goal midway through the half but the game continued to be scrappy until injury time when with a sudden burst of activity Chelsea and Sarah added 2 more goals.
