| A difficult game to report on. The team was struck down by the 'half-term bug'. Several players were unavailable through holidays and illness. Newbury were reduced to 4 players but it gave an opportunity for Abbie to play her first game. Against a strong Westwood team looking to reduce their goal difference on the league leaders this was never going to be an easy game. However Newbury stuck at it and showed their usual spirit. In the second half they made several attempts to score and Nina in particular was unlucky not to get on the score sheet. |
