Although Newbury were well beaten in this match the difference between the teams didn't seem as great as the score. Andover certainly have an excellent goalscorer, Amber, who scored 9 of their goals, but this Newbury team stuck at it as they usually do. Jennie-Rae was in goal first and was very positive although there were long times when she had nothing to do. She did make an excellent save from a penalty given for a handled back pass, pushing a strong shot over the bar.

The game was notable for 2 events, Sophie was playing her first game and midway through the second half Lucy W scored her first goal for Newbury which was an excellent goal well taken. Let us hope that this is the first of many.
