Although due to play with 6, Newbury were 1 short for this game with Andover. This turned out to be an excellent game closely fought by the 2 teams. Newbury played well with Louise in goal. Everyone played well and Newbury were unlucky to only draw this fixture. Lucy playing up front had several scoring opportunities and was very unlucky to see a number of shots go just past the post. Both Nina and Rachel B were making strong runs out of defence, one of these resulted in good goal for Rachel midway through the first half. Unfortunately just before half time Newbury conceeded a penalty which was converted well by Andover giving Louise no chance.

The second half was similar to the first half and although the Newbury players were visibly tiring against an Andover team with 3 substitutes they were still creating scoring chances but they were unable to beat the goalkeeper.
