Vicky Sumner died in a car crash on Wednesday 12th May 2004.

Vicky joined AFC Newbury at the end of the previous season and played for the Under 17 girls team. Vicky played several games for AFC Newbury Ladies in the 2003/4 season.

Vicky was one of those people who touched everybody she knew, particularly the young people in Newbury. There are many young people and adults who were deeply upset by this tragic loss.

She will always be remembered by all who knew her with great affection.
